The show is one of many productions that utilize a particular profession to weave a character-driven tale. It follows a firefighter from New York, Owen Strand after he is asked to relocate to Austin, Texas to look after the rebuilding of a firefighting unit.

911 Lone Star Episode 7 Recap:

The seventh episode of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ is titled ‘Bum Steer’ and promised to be an intense one with Owen slated to prove his physical fitness. It teased the beginning of a storyline involving a possible antagonist in the form of Billy, another firehouse captain. However, fans might be slightly disappointed about how that played out, even though an essentially “good thing” happened.

The team has to deal with a runaway bull at a used car lot as one of the emergencies in the episode. On the other hand, what looks like electrocution is the second emergency that the team looks after. Michelle, on the other hand, does something reckless for a noble cause.

To be clearer, Michelle drives to an unsafe part of town in a medical supply van alone when a girl needs insulin. However, a druggie threatens her with a crowbar for some freebies. Michelle uses her pepper spray to get out of the situation. Right after that, Carlos shows up.

Carlos calls Michelle insane for going to the risky neighborhood all on her own. Then, he proceeds to tell her about the truck that her sister had entered on the night she disappeared. He tells her that the owner of the truck has been identified. This puts Michelle much closer to finding her sister. We will have to wait to find out if she actually manages to get a real lead though.

Judd is unhappy that Owen has to prove himself to the department. Owen thinks that he should have been more transparent with them regarding his cancer.

However, Owen manages to prove his fitness and is here to stay. TK is obviously delighted about that and congratulates him.

However, things go in a slightly unexpected manner with Billy. Both, Billy and Owen decide to set aside their differences. Both of them end up choosing to be the “bigger man.”
