The episode is titled ‘Awakening’ and returns one week after the eighth episode of the season was aired. The show follows a weekly format with a new episode slated to release every Monday. However, the tenth episode of the show, titled ‘Austin, We Have a Problem’ will also be aired right after the ninth episode ends, on March 9, 2020 itself.

911 Lone Star Episode 8 Recap:
The eighth episode of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ begins with a couple having dinner at a restaurant. The woman checks up on their son through the baby monitor and finds a snake nearby. When the 911 team makes it to the couple’s house, they find multiple rattlesnakes and the babysitter having been bitten by one. They distract the snakes using CO2 to help out the babysitter.
On the other hand, Michelle is able to recognize her sister, Iris’ bracelet from the truck. Strand finds out that his tumor has been shrinking. He also finds out about cancer dogs on whom the experimental treatment that he is undergoing is tested. Some of them need homes to stay in and Strand adopts one for the firehouse.
Trevor calls the 911 regarding a medical emergency surrounding his mother. She is dead, but Trevor is not ready to accept the truth. In a fit, he threatens the paramedics to do something about his mother using a sword. Michelle distracts him and uses a defibrillator to shock him.
T.K. is struggling to come to terms with the new dog, Buttercup. He tells Strand that it is because he fears loving a living being for the fear of losing them. Then, another emergency involves a man calling to report someone having broken into his house. It turns out that the man, Bruce is a dementia patient who has wandered off into his old home. At the man’s old house, the current residents, a family (a man, a wife and their kid) are hiding in the bedroom with a gun. Grace manages to calm Bruce down. However, the father of the family living in the house has a heart attack. When T.K. breaks down the bedroom door to help the father, the kid shoots him in the chest. Luckily, T.K. is alive.
