‘A Certain Scientific Railgun’, which is a spin-off of the renowned ‘A Certain Scientific Index‘ series, has finally released its third season and we can’t help but get all hyped up about it. Unlike its predecessors which started off with fillers, the first episode of season 3 is surprisingly very good and we can expect something similar from the rest of the season as well. A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 Episode 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?
A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 premiered on January 10, 2020 and just like the previous season, it is expected to have a total of 24 episodes. Episode 2, titled “The Daihasei Festival”, will release on January 17, 2020.

A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 Episode 1 Recap
The starting scene introduces the main protagonist Misaka Mikoto, who ends up meeting a bunch of Esper kids while her making her way to her school. Realizing that they could really use her help, she walks up to them and fixes their broken toy. But before they can thank her, she rushes to the school. Later, it turns out that Shirai is in the hospital. Saten and Uihara visit her there are and soon, even Misaka joins them. Shirai initially shows no excitement when she spots only Saten and Uihara, but as soon as she spots Misaka with them, she jumps out of her bed and gets all hyped up that her “lady crush” is here to meet her.
When they settle down, Misaka reveals it to them that she was earlier approached for announcing the athlete’s pledge for the opening ceremony of an upcoming festival. Shirai again gets really excited and tells Misaka how she totally deserves it, but Misaka still seems a bit concerned. Later on, Misaka runs into fifth-ranked Shokuho Misaki, who makes fun of her after she comes to know that she is being considered for the athlete’s pledge. Meanwhile, fourth-ranked Mugino, Kakine, and rank one Accelerator are also approached for participating in the athlete’s pledge. But being the overpowered characters that they are, they dismiss it by claiming that they’re better off without doing it. Accelerator almost kills the agent who tries to convince him.
Misaka then meets one of her sisters and even gets a jar of cake from her. In the meantime, Uihara tries to stop a battle between the leaders of two strong cheer squads, who then target her for interfering. This is when Sogita Gunha, the current seventh-ranked Esper, jumps in and protects the little girl. After he leaves, Uihara and Saten try to save the young boys of the cheer squads from falling rubble. Misaka soon joins them and using her abilities, she even saves them from a falling crane. Sogita and Shokuho are later finalized for the athlete’s pledge, while the three girls go back to the hospital to visit Shirai.
