A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 Episode 7 Recap

After attacking Baba in his truck, Misaka approaches it only to discover that he has somehow managed to escape. She then uses his security cameras to figure out where he could be hiding but finds nothing at all. Back at the hospital, Misaki’s clique look for Mikoto and even claim that they haven’t been in touch with Misaki since last night. Kongou Mitsuko’s nanodevice is safely removed from her body and is sent out for further investigation. The three girls then decide to visit an Animal-type Psychometrist who could give them some cues by analyzing their cat.

Through the cat, they get to know that it was around a collapsed girl who was accompanied by a tall man and another school girl. The girl had even mentioned a phrase that goes like “Auribus oculi fideliores sunt”. This does not seem to be of much help to the girl but they still thank the Animal-type Psychometrist and leave. Meanwhile, Saten somehow deduces that Mikoto could possibly be their friend and even explains it to Shirai. She also asks Kuroko to use her teleportation to get Mikoto where they are. But before she can do this, a hooded Mitori shows up and even reveals that she has Uihara as a hostage.

Mitori accuses her of stealing information from her group but this really surprises Midori as she has no memories of doing such a thing. Determined to save Uihara, she tries to electrocute Mitori, but strangely, she simply melts to the ground, leaving behind a silvery liquid. In the final moments of the episode, Mikoto supports Kuroko while walking up to her wheelchair but Kuroko, who still has no memories of her, acts rude. When Mikoto holds her tighter, Kuroko starts panicking, which actually contradicts how she usually behaves with Mikoto. In the end, Mikoto is only left with one clue and that is the phrase which she acquired from the cat—”Auribus oculi fideliores sunt.”
