Ahiru no Sora Episode 14 Recap

So far, in ‘Ahiru no Sora, Nanao Nao started a basketball camp to train the members of his team. He pushes them beyond their limits and trains them to make sure that they improve their game. However, because of his gruelling methods of training, not all of them are able to keep up with him and begin to give up. Soon after this, even Kite starts getting all mad at his teammates and even lashes out on them in the locker room. Near the end of episode 13, Ryuuhei and Masahiro get sick of playing basketball with the team and decide to head back to their old lives. They later end up getting into a basketball match with middle-school kids and even lose against them. Meanwhile, Sora promises Chiaki that he’ll do everything that he can to make sure that they’re back in the team.

In the 14th episode, Sora decides to meet them and asks them if they would be interested in coming back to the team. He tries to convince them that all the intense training they’re going through will eventually be worth it and their hard work will pay off someday. But even then, Ryuuhei and Masahiro stick to their decision of staying out of the team and tell him they’re better off living their old comfortable life. Much later, they run into the same middle-school kids who had defeated them earlier. More determined than ever to win this time, the two boys challenge them again and an intense match ensues between the two teams. But even this time, they struggle to score against the boys and that’s when Sora shows up out of nowhere. He takes a pass from Masahiro and ends up scoring the winning basket for their team. This makes Ryuuhei and Masahiro realize that, no matter what, Sora has their back. They finally decide to play for the Kuzuryuu High School’s basketball team again and return to their training.
