Ahiru no Sora Episode 17 Recap
After Ryuuhei and Masahiro return to play with the team, Nao decides to further level up their training to make sure that the players remain motivated. Realizing that the major tournaments are still pretty far, he uses his own creative ways to keep the spirits of the players high. With this, he introduces the High School basketball team to whole new training agenda which mostly focuses on their defense. The boys then work really hard on this new defense strategy and plan to use it in their upcoming practice matches. After this intense training drill, the boys finally prepare themselves for an upcoming practice match that’ll help them determine their stance in the world of high school basketball.
As planned, as soon as the practice match begins, Nao unveils the defense strategy that they had been practicing all this while. Determined to win against their opponents, the team gives it everything and is able to easily overpower the opposing team. Sora, as always, tries his best to lead the team to victory and proves that despite all the trials and tribulations that they’ve gone through in the past few weeks, they still have what it takes to be the best. Ryuuhei and Masahiro, and almost all the other players who were previously complaining about the intensity of their training, realize that all of their hard work was very well worth it.
Further in the match, though it gets really tiring for him, Sora continues to guard Taro and the intensity in his eyes reflects his determination to win. Later in the 17th episode, Chucky ends up entering the court, but it’s still questionable if he has what it takes to lead the team to victory. Although he is talented when it comes to defense, will he be able to keep up with the pressure?
