What’s an anime? For those who are unfamiliar with the term, anime refers to animation movies produced in Japan that have special characteristics about them and are mostly derived from Manga series of comic books.  Modern day greats like Shinichiro Watanbe, Hayao Miyazaki and the late Satoshi Kon have changed the landscapes of anime with their distinctively original, dazzlingly ambitious works that pushed the boundaries of the medium. 12. Naruto Shippuden (2007)

I enjoyed watching ‘Naruto Shippuden’. The series is a continuation of its predecessor ‘Naruto’ which is one of the most popular anime. The plot over here is simple. By the end of the Naruto series, we see that Naruto has been training really hard with Jiraya and gives it his all to become powerful and special. The events in this series take place after two years since the first series. Naruto has trained to his fullest and has come home to his village Kono na. He has grown taller and his character seems to have become more determined and decent. But wait. It seems that he has developed a much better sexy jutsu and needs to teach it to his juniors. Yup, he may have gotten stronger but Naruto hasn’t changed at all. This series filled with awesome and powerful villains who will test Naruto to his full potential. Which means more fun for us, right?

If you love superhero genre Anime then this one is a must watch for you. The plot is great and the characters are really cool too. The fight scenes of ‘Boku no Hero Academia’ are visually appealing and keeps the viewers engaged. I really enjoyed watching this series. The plot of the Anime is set in a world in which humans have evolved to have quirks which are basically supernatural powers. With great power comes dangerous villains and to uphold peace you need badass heroes. Being a Hero to catch the bad guys is actually a routine job now. Midoriya wants to become a Hero too but the problem is he is one of those rare humans who don’t have any quirk. 10. Tokyo Ghoul (2014)

Tokyo Ghoul

‘Tokyo Ghoul’ is a decent piece of horror/action genre Anime. I really enjoyed the first two seasons to this series. They were really great and kept me glued on the screen. The third season is something I did not fully enjoy and felt there was not much going on in the series. But other than that this series is a great watch. The Anime is set at an Earth where Ghouls are very much real and they eat the flesh of human beings. Kaneki is the main character of this Anime. He starts a relationship with a beautiful girl. But luck is not in the town for him as this girl turns out to be a ghoul and attacks him. This attack injures him and Kaneki is saved by transplanting the girl’s organs. But now Kaneki himself has become a Ghoul or is rather a half human and half hybrid Ghoul. He later learns that there’s a special task force created to hunt down ghouls. Now, Kaneki has to save himself from both the world of humans and the world of ghouls.

9. Another (2012)

If you like horror genre anime then go for ‘Another’. As you proceed with the series you feel you are watching the anime version of ‘Final Destination’. Believe me, the structure is quite similar. But the plot of the anime is quite different and has a mystery feel to it. Also, if you don’t like gory stuff then steer clear. Kouichi Sakakibara is transferred to a school in Yomiyama town. He will be continuing his classes in class 3-3. But there are some dark secrets hidden within this class that engulfs the whole town. Many years ago a popular student named Misaki dies in the school. Misaki studied in class 3-3. The class was in shock and started pretending that Misaki hadn’t died. It’s time for an anime movie. ‘Akira’ is an anime classic and is regarded as one of the best anime films. ‘Akira’ was instrumental in changing the way anime was perceived. The film is two hours long and is really engaging. The plot is really great and is set in the year 2019. It is shown that in the year 1988 an explosion was caused by a psychic boy. This resulted in the start of World War III which engulfed Japan in destruction. Currently, in the year 2019, the government tries hard to restore peace and Tokyo is now known as Neo-Tokyo. ‘Ao no Exorcist’ deals with demons, satans and of course Exorcists. It follows the same pattern as ‘Naruto’ though the plot is entirely different. It deals with a boy who is at first feared for his power but later through his personality makes people believe in him. The anime is set in a world where Humans and Demons exist in sort of parallel worlds. Demons can only come to the world of humans through possession. 5. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (2015)

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu

‘Ansatsu Kyoushitsu’ is a really fun anime. I loved it because of its comic nature. It allowed me to take a break from serious stuff and delve into pure fun. The plot is really nice. One day a creature causes havoc. It is really strong and chops down our beautiful. Now, the moon bears a permanent crescent. Now, Earth is going to suffer a similar fate until something is done to subdue this monster. People are terrified and responsibility falls on the students of Kunugigaoka Middle School. Especially the students of class 3 -E of that school. They are tasked to assassinating the monster but the task seems impossible. The creature can fly at high speeds reaching up to Mach 20. It is also quite skilled. But in a bizarre turn of events, the creature becomes a teacher at Kunugigaoka Middle School and starts teaching the students of class 3-E and trains them to become an assassin so that they are finally able to catch him. Also, it turns out that the creature is a great teacher. Will the students be able to stop this monster before it’s too late.

4. One Punch Man (2015)

Man! ‘One Punch Man’ was one of the best anime I have recently seen in the superhero genre. It is fun, comical and filled with over the top action sequences and the best part being it does all that while making fun of itself. I love parodies and ‘One Punch Man’ is a great parody. The protagonist of this anime is Saitama who with a seemingly normal training routine, which he continued for a year, gained superhuman abilities. Now, Saitama is so powerful that he can defeat any rival with just one punch. Hell, even one punch is way too much. If you have seen the anime you know what I mean. His punch completely decimates his opponent disintegrating them into oblivion. This annoys him a lot since he cannot fight to his fullest potential. Saitama wanted to become a superhero for a long time. He meets Genos who wants to become his disciple. Together they give the superhero exam. But the results are quite unexpected as Saitama is graded as a C class hero and Genos is meant to be an S class hero.

He is the leader of straw hats pirates and aims to become the pirate king by taking over the hidden treasure, named as One Piece, left by Gol D. Roger who was the previous pirate king. Gol D.
