Barbara Corcoran was born on March 10, 1949. She is known as an American businesswoman, investor, speaker, consultant, author, and television personality. Corcoran lives in Manhattan with her husband, Bill Higgins, who is a retired Navy captain from the Persian Gulf War and former F.B.I. agent; both got married in 1988. Barbara gave birth to her son, Tom, through in vitro fertilization. Egg for in-vitro fertilization was donated by her own younger sister. Later the couple also adopted their seven-year-old daughter, Kate.
Barbara is married to Bill Higgins, a retired Navy captain. In the 2014 episode of Shark Tank, Corcoran said that she has an adopted daughter of seven-year-old and 20-year-old son, Tom Corcoran.
