‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ is a reality TV show that follows Captain Glenn Shephard and his highly skilled crew, as they traverse through the crystalline blue waters of the Ionian Sea, embarking on their lavish sailing yacht. It is an extension of the ‘Below Deck’ universe, which already has an off-shoot ‘Below Deck Mediterranean.’ The adventure reality show has been created by Jill M. Goslicky, Christian Sarabia and Dan Volpe.
The original series first premiered on July 1, 2013 and has since spawned several seasons. Upon its premiere, the critics were not quite impressed with the “mundane” storyline but the audience were blown away. The show became a hit with the viewers. Its spin-off ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ is one of the highest rated shows on Bravo.
The stakes are high for ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ but considering its unique premise and entertaining cast, it is safe to say that ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ has everything a ‘Below Deck’ fan would look for, in a show. Therefore, this yacht will smoothly sail through.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Cast: Who is in it?

What is Below Deck Sailing about?
‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ chronicles the day to day activities of the crew of the luxury sailboat yacht, Parsifal III, as they cater to their guests, providing five-star service to them, while exploring the exotic Ionian Islands.
Parsifal III vessel is a 177-foot luxury yacht, which includes two double cabins, a master suite, a private pool, along with an aesthetic sun deck. It was crafted by a renowned Italian yacht designer, Perini Navi. The show features nine charters, costing around $40,000 for accommodating six guests, for two nights and three days. It also includes food and beverage, along with a day of air transport. The gratuity has to be paid extra, after you leave the vessel. On the downside, sailing yachts have compact galleys, smaller cabins and stew stations, as compared to the motor yachts. This leads to rifts between the crew members and the guests and causes some unnecessary drama.
The show also features guests ranging from old clients, to rich eco-friendly techies. As a change from its predecessors, this one will see the yachties also taking up on the duties of sailing the boat, every now and then. It also features clients with adequate knowledge about the technical aspect of sailboats.
