How did Bill Paxton earn his money and wealth?
Bill Paxton, real name William Archibald Paxton, was born on 17 May, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to John Lane Paxton and Mary Lou. Bill developed an interest in movies at an early age as his father used to frequently take him and his siblings to watch movies in theatres. He attended Arlington Heights High School and graduated from there in the year 1973. Later, he joined Richmond College where he started to experiment with filmmaking along with his friends, Tim Huckabee and Danny Martin. In the year 1974, he shifted to LA and earned the job as a production assistant on an industrial movie. Bill, later on, moved to New York University when he was 21 and studied there under acting instructor, Stella Adler, but later took a drop.
Bill Paxton was not only an American actor but also a director. He made a short film in the year 1980 titled ‘Fish Heads’ and later in 1981, he appeared in the film titled ‘Stripes’ in which he played a small role of a soldier. Starting from 1983 to 1986, Bill appeared in many movies such as ‘Deadly Lessons’, ‘Taking Tiger Mountain’, ‘The Terminator’, ‘The Lords of Discipline’, ‘Weird Science’ among others. During this period, Bill also featured in an episode of ‘Detective Vic Romano.’ In the year 1988, Bill along with his guitarist/vocalist friend Andrew Todd Rosenthal created a rock band called ‘Martini Ranch’ the following year he appeared in 3 movies, ‘Slipstream’, ‘Near Dark’ as well as ‘Next of Kin.’
Bill starred in the movie ‘Predator 2’ on the year 1990 and also worked in other movies such as ‘Navy SEALs’, ‘Brain Dead’ among others. Starting from the year 1992 to 1995, Bill was seen in the movies ‘Tresspass’, Frank and Jesse’, ‘Indian Summer’, ‘Future Shock’, ‘The Last Supper,’ ‘Boxing Helena,’ and the famous ‘Apollo 13.’ In the year 2003, Bill worked in the movie ‘Ghosts of the Abyss.’ Later in 2005, Bill directed his second film ‘The Greatest Game Ever Played’ and around the same time also appeared in a short film called ‘Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D.’
He is well-known for his role as Bill Henrickson in the TV show ‘Big Love’ which continued from 2006 to 2011. Around this time, Bill rarely worked in movies except for the film ‘The Good Life.’ He decided to come back to the movies in the year 2011 and was seen in the movie ‘Haywire.’ The same year, Bill also directed the film ‘Tattoo.’ In the year 2012, he starred in the movie ‘Shanghai Calling.’
In the year 2013, Bill starred in movies ‘The Colony’, ‘2 Guns,’ as well as ‘Red Wing.’ Bill starred in the films ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ as well as ‘Million Dollar Arm.’ Unfortunately, Bill died on 25 February 2017 due to complications from a surgery.
