When Does Boku no Hero Academia Season 5 Come Out?

‘My Hero Academia’, or ‘Boku no Hero Academia’, is one of the most popular anime series of our time. Studio Bones already has several renowned anime like ‘Fullmetal Alchemist‘, ‘Mob Psycho 100‘ and many others under its belt. But ‘My Hero Academia’ is still one of their best creations of all time. After the huge success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the West, superheroes were already making it big in the mainstream media. With its insane creativity and bonkers production, ‘My Hero Academia’ has also established itself as one of the best offerings of the superhero genre.

After the immense success of its first four seasons, the fanbase of the anime has been constantly growing. If you’ve been following class 1-A’s journey all this while and you’ve been with our young heroes through thick and thin, you must be wondering how long will you have to wait for the next season and when will My Hero Academia season 5 release. Well, here’s everything we know.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Release Date: When will it premiere?

‘My Hero Academia’ season 1 premiered on April 3, 2016, and with a total of 13 episodes, it went on till June 26, 2016. This was then followed by a second season which aired from April 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017. Its third season released on April 7, 2018 and ended on September 29, 2018 and its recent fourth season aired from October 12, 2019 to April 4, 2020. Over the year, ‘My Hero Academia’ has become a household name in the anime community and even after 4 seasons, it is known to be one of the best modern shounen.

So it becomes pretty obvious that the series is not ending anytime soon. However, there were initially some rumors that because of all the complaints they’ve been receiving from fans, Studio Bones has plans of dropping the anime after Season 4. The good news is that these were just rumors and season 5 of ‘My Hero Academia’ has already been confirmed. In the 19th version of  Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, Season 5 was officially announced without a final release date. Even so, going by its previous release schedule, we can expect ‘My Hero Academia’ Season 5 to release sometime in July 2021.

According to reports, the fifth season will be adapting the “Joint Training Arc” of the manga all our young heroes of class 1-A and 1-B will go against one another to further hone their quirks. Hitoshi Shinso, who has become somewhat of a fan favorite lately, will also have a major role to play in the upcoming arc. The next season might even go a step further and cover a little bit of the “Meta Liberation Army Arc” which includes the highly anticipated “My Villain Academia” chapter. Moreover, now that Dabi has also been introduced, we’ll probably get to see more of him in the next season.
