Bosch Season 7: Will it Happen?

Bosch Season 6

Rarely does it happen that book adaptations are able to do justice to their source material. However, Prime’s ‘Bosch’ stands apart from its counterparts in this regard. Adapted from the bestselling Michael Connelly novels, the detective drama expertly reproduces the experience of reading. Gripping and well-paced, it seamlessly replicates Connelly’s literary depiction of LA. No wonder the show has spanned six remarkable seasons to date. In case you are wondering when will ‘Bosch’ Season 7 release, here’s everything we know.

Bosch Season 7 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?

‘Bosch’ Season 6 premiered on April 17, 2020, on Amazon Prime. It consisted of 10 episodes.

On February 13, 2020, the team of ‘Bosch’ confirmed that the series has been renewed for a seventh and final outing. The news was announced on the show’s official Twitter handle. It said: “Bosch isn’t turning in his badge yet. #BoschAmazon is picked up for its 7th and final season on @PrimeVideo. Season 6 is coming soon.”

Michael Connelly said that he and the team were extremely proud of the amazing reception received by Amazon’s longest-running original. He said to Deadline: “I’m proud of what we have accomplished with Bosch and look forward to completing the story in Season 7. It’s bittersweet, but all good things come to an end, and I am happy that we will be able to go out the way we want to.”

There could be a delay in the production of the seventh season due to the coronavirus pandemic. Which means we expect ‘Bosch’ Season 7 to release sometime in Fall 2021.

Bosch Season 7 Cast: Who Can Be In It?

The cast of ‘Bosch’ is led by Titus Welliver (‘Lost,’ ‘Deadwood,’ ‘Sons of Anarchy‘) as the titular Harry Bosch, a police detective in Los Angeles. Bosch is an ex-official from the Army Special Forces, deployed in Afghanistan. There’s no need to mention that Welliver will return to reprise his character in season 7 as well.

He is joined by Jamie Hector (‘The Wire,’ ‘Heroes,’ ‘CSI: Miami’) as Detective Jerry Edgar. Edgar is Bosch’s partner and confidante. Amy Aquino (‘Brooklyn Bridge,’ ‘ER,’ ‘Being Human’) plays Lieutenant Grace Billets. Both Hector and Aquino will appear in the upcoming season. Lance Reddick as Chief of Police Irvin Irving and Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch are also expected to make comebacks in the next edition.

Bosch Season 7 Plot: What Can It Be About?

‘Bosch’ takes inspiration from Michael Connelly’s series of novels, featuring the Los Angeles Police detective Harry Bosch. Season 6 follows the events of the ‘The Overlook’ and ‘Dark Sacred Night.’ The story revolves around the death of a medical physicist. But things get complicated when it is revealed that the deadly radioactive material he had with him has disappeared. What unfolds is a messy, dangerous case of a murder, which soon gets entangled with LA facing the most catastrophic threat yet.

Season 7 will be based on the novels, ‘The Concrete Blonde’ and ‘The Burning Room.’ The seventh and final iteration of ‘Bosch’ will follow Harry Bosch and Jerry Edgar as they individually tackle two murder investigations. Bringing in a combination of white-collar crimes and drug trades on the streets, the upcoming season promises to be one of the most captivating installments from the series.
