How did Camron earn his money and wealth?

Born in Harlem, New York in 1976, Cameron Ezike Giles became popular from his stage name Camron. He has so far released six studio albums, five collaboration albums and has worked as a supporting actor in five films, including Killa Season. Besides this, he is a pioneer who founded two notable East Coast hip-hop groups, The Diplomats( A.k.a Dipset) and The U.N. (Us Now).

Beginning his musical career in his teens in mid-1990’s he has worked with Big L, Mase and his cousin Bloodshed. The group was called Children of the Corn. However, soon after the death of his cousin Bloodshed and Big L, Camron continued his music career solo. A radical change in his career came when he met Notorious B.I.G who made Camron sign a deal with Entertainment label which was distributed by Epic Records. Post this he was established as a rapper and his first album received love from a large crowd.

This gave him global recognition. This debut album was titled ‘Confessions of Fire’, that brought him popularity in the mainstream. Further his Hit Singles Feels Good (featuring Usher) and Horse and Carriage, were big hits and were on number 6 on Billboard 200 charts. The Recording Industry Association of Asia deemed this as Gold. His third studio album ‘Come Home With Me’ was declared a Platinum.

Later in 2005, he dissolved Diplomat Records, his record label from the Rock-a Fella records.  He did this owing to the certain business disagreements and signed with Asylum Records as his distributors. It was then that Killa Season was released which was his fifth studio album. In fact, this also marked as his debut in screenwriting and acting as Killa Season was also released as a film where he starred as the main actor.

After a gap of few years due to his mother’s death, he came back in 2009 with an album called Crime Pays, which again created a storm on the Billboard Charts and was on number 3.  It is said that now he is working on his next album named after his fourth one Purple Haze. This one will be known as Purple Haze 2. Later, in one of his interviews in 2016, he was heard saying that the name has been changed to Killa Season 2.
