Carlos Mencia was born on October 22, 1967 at San Pedro Sula, Honduras. His original name is Ned Arnel Mencia, is a writer, actor and comedian. His kind of comedy is most of the times political and includes problems with race, lifestyle, legal rights and social category. He is best known as the host of the Comedy Central show “Mind of Mencia” which created four seasons before being stopped in 2008.

Mencia was recommended to modify his first name from “Ned” to “Carlos” in 1988, by Mitzi Shore, owner of The Comedy Store, in order to attract to the Mexican viewers.
