Central Park Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

The sixth episode of ‘Central Park’ season 2, titled ‘The Shadow,’ takes a break from the Tillermans and instead puts the spotlight on Bitsy Brandenham. Birdie takes us through the legendary tale of a mysterious dark force that used to haunt luxurious hotels and rob the guests. The Brandenham hotel was its first target, and now, it seems as if this sneaky figure called “The Shadow” is back in everyone’s lives. One of the guests at Brandenham has reported a theft in one of the rooms, and clues suggest that it is the work of The Shadow.

Bitsy tries to convince an Insurance guy named Hank Zevanksy, an old acquaintance, to stop the investigation because such news could affect the hotel’s reputation. But he persists, and before we even know it, Bitsy confesses that she is The Shadow, the nocturnal thief that stole emeralds and gold from the elite womenfolk residing at expensive hotels. The urge to rob came to her at a very young age owing to her desolate childhood where no one noticed and cared about her, not even her parents.

So it was the only way Bitsy could let out her frustration. But as soon as she spills everything out, Hank reveals that he had staged the last robbery to finally hear those words from her. Not only that, but the frail old man had fallen in love with her during the old days when he was a policeman sneaking up on her in the elevator. But he had never spoken a word about that until now. Although it is too late, there is a spark of chemistry between them that is hard to miss, and before they finally part ways, Hank sees her off at the same elevator where he had first laid eyes on her.
