Anthony Cris Collinsworth was born on January 27, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio and is a 59-year-old former professional American football player. He is born to parents Abraham Lincoln “Abe” Collinsworth and Donetta Browning Collinsworth. He is married to married to Holly Bankemper since 3 June 1989 and has four children of who Austin Collinsworth is also a former football player at the University of Notre Dame.
When Cris was four years old in 1963, his family moved to Titusville, Florida and he was brought up there. He did his schooling at the Astronaut High School. He played football at his high school as an All-American quarterback. On an athlete scholarship, he graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville. In the second round of the 1981 National Football League Draft, Collinsworth was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals. He continued to play for them from 1981 to 1988, for a span of eight years.
