How did Deion Sanders earn his money and wealth?

Deion Sanders is a former football and baseball player who is famous for his nickname “Primetime”. He was born as Deion Luywnn Sanders Sr. on August 9, 1967, in Fort Myers, Florida.

Sanders was an exceptionally talents sportsperson from his school days. He was a letterman as well as an All-State honoree in baseball, football, and basketball. He was selected for the Florida High School Association All-Century Team in 1995. It was a major achievement for him as only the top 33 players in the 100-year history of high school football in the state are selected. He opted to join Florida State University where he played baseball, football, and track for the Florida State Seminoles. He performed exceedingly well under the guidance of his coach Bobby Bowden and was awarded the Jim Thorpe Award in 1988.

Sanders continued to play baseball as a professional for nine years although it was part-time in 641 games with 4 teams. He joined the New York Yankees in 1988 and made his debut in the major baseball league in 1989. He later joined the Atlanta Braves in 1991 but had to report back to Atlanta Falcons in one day due to a clause in his NFL contract. He later rejoined the Braves. He left baseball in 1997 and returned to it in 2001 by playing for the Cincinnati Reds.

Sanders played football from 1989 when he was picked by the Atlanta Falcons and played for them until 1993. He joined the San Francisco 49ers in 1994 and played his best football while being a part of this team. He was awarded the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.  He became the highest paid defensive player in the NFL when he joined the Dallas Cowboys in 1995. He joined the Washington Redskins in 2000 but played with them for only one year and decided to retire from the game. The Baltimore Ravens lured him back from his retirement and he joined them in 2004. He retired from the Ravens and became an analyst for the NFL Network from 2006.

After his retirement, Sanders has been busy with other ventures. He became the spokesperson for Sega Sports and their line of online games in 1995. He has also appeared in numerous commercials such as Pepsi, Nike, Pizza Hut, Burger King and American Express. He also started pursuing a music career in rapping.
