Diana Ross, real name Diana Ernestine Ross, was born on 26 March 1944 in Michigan, US to Fred Ross, Sr. and Ernestine. She lived along with her family on Belmont Road in Detroit initially and later shifted to St Antoine Street and lived on Brewster-Douglass housing projects. Diana went to Cass Technical High School. While in school, she started taking classes for clothing design, pattern making, millery as well as tailoring and aspired to be a fashion designer. She also worked at a departmental store and to earn extra money; she also offered hairdressing services to her neighbors. Diana graduated from Cass Technical in the year 1962.
Diana Ross is not only an American singer but is also an actress and a record producer. She joined the female singing group called ‘The Supremes’ in 1959 and served as the hairstylist, costume designer and seamstress for it. Later in 2006, she released the album ‘I Love You’ in the US and parts of Europe that went on to be a hit. In the year 2012, she appeared in the TV series ‘Christmas in Washington,’ an annual TV special programme which featured several celebs from the entertainment field.
