Digimon Digital Monsters Season 3: Premiere Date, Plot, Characters

If I had to choose one anime of the 90s that I could rewatch all over again, I would definitely go for ‘Digimon Adventure.’ Back in the day, I don’t know what exactly drew me towards this show. Maybe the fact that it was too similar to ‘Pokemon‘ or simply all the hype around it forced me to watch it. Being young, the flaws in its English Dub did not matter to me and I was just lost in its strange charm that affected me and many other young viewers.

Rewatching it all over again, would just simply bring back that same old nostalgic charm that once captivated an entire generation. Apart from the whole classic late 90s feel of the anime, it also has a pretty intelligent story that may be appealing to adults as well. It does have a fair share of cheesy emotional moments that are targeted more towards a younger audience. But even with these, you’ll find yourself smiling instead of rolling your eyes.

The art of the anime has substantially improved over the years and is still getting better with each movie/ season. Even when we consider the first run of the anime, Toei Animation was clearly a little ahead of its time with this one. The characters of the anime have always had this realistic feel to them that is because of both their detailed animation and personalities. The Japanese intros and outros of the show are very catchy even though there is nothing too great about them and even other aspects of sound are just satisfactory. Overall, ‘Digimon’ may not exactly be appealing to the anime audience of today but it will always have a special place in the hearts of those who experienced it when it first came out with its lovable cast and an extremely fashionable adventure story.

Digimon Adventure Season 3 Release Date: When will it premiere?

The entire ‘Digimon’ franchise first started off with a movie that premiered on May 6, 1999. Only after this, Digimon Adventure season 1 premiered on May 7, 1999 and with a total of 54 episodes, it ended on May 26, 2000. This was followed by an anime movie and then a 50-episode Digimon Adventure season 2, which released on April 2, 2000 and went on till March 25, 2001. After Season 2, a series of six movies premiered, out of which, the most recent one released on May 5, 2018.

‘Digimon’ is clearly one of those huge anime franchises like ‘Dragon Ball Z‘, ‘Pokemon‘ and ‘Naruto‘ that never really come to an end. If you have been following the main series all this while then the good news for you is that another sequel movie of the anime has been scheduled for February 21, 2020 and its teaser is already available on YouTube. When it comes to an entire season 3, we can’t really say much about it as over the years ‘Digimon Adventure’ has followed a very sporadic release schedule and even the format of its sequels is quite random. We can still assure you that this series is not getting over anytime soon and as soon as we get any updates about Digimon Adventure season 3 release date, we will surely update it on our website.
