As the title suggests, ‘Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings’ is a reality show that features some of the world’s most magical and spectacular Disney-themed weddings. It showcases the behind the scenes look at how Disney helps a few couples, to fulfill their life-long dream of saying “I do” at a Disney destination. Basically, if you’ve grown up watching Disney’s ‘Cinderella,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ etc., you know what we mean.
The show has been created by Kary McHoul and writer Chris Wilson, in co-ordination with Disney’s wedding planning program Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons. The show produced two specials in 2017, which paved the way for the first season, which premiered on June 11, 2018. The series was then again renewed for a second edition that debuted in 2020.
Upon its release, the show garnered a lot of attention from all the Disney fans across the globe. Not just that, the show also won the Bronze Telly award for Best Sound Design.

Real-life couple Stephen “Twitch” Boss and Allison Holker are the hosts of Season 1 and Season 2. They are expected to make a comeback in season 3 as well.
You may know Stephen Boss as DJ Twitch from ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’ He is a professional hip hop dancer and actor, whose previous works include ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ ‘Step Up Franchise,’ and ‘Magic Mike XXL.’ Allison Holker is a professional dancer, who is known for her performances in ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
The couples from season 1 are John and Emily, Chelsea and Spencer, Danielle and Nick, David and Nicole, Gabriela and Tanner, Britney and Hans, Lorina and Greg, Eric and Kelley, Jessica and Myke, Nate and Brian, and Christina and Jarrod. Season 2 features even more couples who are diehard Disney fans and season 3 is expected to throw the limelight on a bunch of new lovebirds, waiting to have their perfect Disney-themed wedding.
What Can Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Season 3 Be About?
We’ve all dreamed of having a Disney wedding. You’d be lying if you say you have never. Anyway, ‘Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings’ helps in transforming the dreams into reality, for some lucky couples.
The show features several couples who get the opportunity to experience nuptial bliss at the world-famous Disney destination, in the most extraordinary way. The couples are assigned a wedding planner, also known as a fairy godmother, who assists them in planning their wedding celebration. Each episode gives us an inside look of their romantic love stories, surprise proposals, and all the preparations leading to the ceremonies and the grand wedding reception. Each wedding is blessed with a special performance by a global artist.
Filled with scintillating lights, mesmerizing fireworks, famous Disney characters attending the nuptials, vibrant setting, lively flash mob performance, a giant theme cake, the show promises to produce tears, a whole lot of happy tears. The wedding venues are Walt Disney World Resort (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom), Disneyland Park, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani – Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii.
Across the episodes, season 1 of the series features a Cinderella-themed wedding, pink sunrise-themed wedding, surprise proposals, vow renewals at Fort Wilderness and Epcot, a historic wedding at the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, a surprise elaborate wedding at Aulani, Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii, and another on Disney’s Cruise Line. The most special of them all is the wedding of Nate and Brian, which ends on a euphoric note with a special Frozen musical.
Season 2 features more magical weddings, along with Disney’s first underwater proposal. Season 3 will embrace the same premise and continue to follow more couples and their enchanting Disney-themed weddings.
