Family Guy S18 E13: What’s In Store?

‘Family Guy’ is Seth Macfarlane’s answer to ‘The Simpsons’ and turns out to be a rather rib-tickling response. In many ways, ‘Family Guy’ makes ‘The Simpsons’ look like a sober version of itself and that should be enough to tell you just how raunchy the series can get. Thankfully, on most occasions, the adult animated show turns out to be raunchy good.

Currently, it is a part of FOX’s impressive ‘Animation Domination’ lineup that entertains viewers every Sunday with new episodes of a bunch of popular adult, animated sitcoms. ‘Family Guy’ follows the Griffiths: an eccentric, Caucasian family living in the suburbs who routinely get into outlandish misadventures.

One of the hallmarks of ‘Family Guy’ is its ability to pass topical commentary while engaging in truly out-there slapstick comedy at the same time. There are fart jokes. But there are also witty allusions to real-world events.

Family Guy Season 18 Episode 12 Recap:

The twelfth episode of the eighteenth season of ‘Family Guy’ is titled ‘Undergrounded’ and the title, as you will realize, is simple yet apt for what happens in the episode. The episode sees Peter get his hands on a secret, family credit card.

And of course, Peter does the irresponsible thing. He starts to spend all the money! He buys expensive dresses, pays a dry cleaner to see the clothes move and spends it wastefully (yet hilariously) in other ways. Have a look:

Peter’s outings have to come to a halt after all. When Lois finds out about Peter’s shenanigans, she grounds him (explaining one half of the episode’s title). However, Peter is not one to take something like this sitting down. He comes up with the perfect escape plan.

Peter digs an underground tunnel, thereby explaining the episode’s title completely (not overly witty, but definitely effective). This tunnel leads to the Drunken Clam, the watering hole that Peter and his friends frequent. Of course, his friends manage to get involved comedically.
