The current economy is seeing a surge in the number of upcoming entrepreneurs. And what could be better that some interesting business-oriented documentaries to give a further push to this trend? Well, CNBC has you covered! If you an entrepreneur looking for some innovative ideas to launch your start-up, then the network has come up with some really unique titles.
In fact, CNBC, in its investment focused toward primetime programming, has introduced several shows that address the market of real-estate, which is growing at a remarkable pace. It released ‘Listing Impossible‘, which centers around estate agent mogul Aaron Kirman and his team as they aim to give a better face value to high-end, multi-million-dollar properties that have been struggling to get a proper price for their sale. Again, ‘Cash Pad‘ is a home renovation series where ‘The Bachelorette‘ stars and current home flippers JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers tackle dilapidated homes and overhaul them into money-generating short-term rental properties.
Additionally, ‘The Deed: Chicago‘ revolves around real estate professional Sean Conlon as he helps out struggling property investors. According to a statement by Jim Ackerman EVP, Primetime Alternative Programming, CNBC, “Whether it’s investing or building or selling, real estate remains one of the best and fastest ways to build wealth. And in his opinion, all these series are the ideal additions to the channel’s primetime slate.
‘Five Day Biz Fix’, yet another title from this list, also adopts a similar approach; but here, the show does not tackle personal real estate properties. Instead, it features a power couple, who are design experts, helping renovate small start-ups in order to convert them into lucrative business ventures — all within a mere span of five days!
Who Are the Hosts of Five Day Biz Fix?
The CNBC original, ‘Five Day Biz Fix’, revolves around two extremely talented professionals, who are experts in the construction and design business. They offer a helping hand to small-scale enterprises to scale their structure so as to increase revenues, thereby, leading to huge profits.
Chrissy and Erik Kopplin are a husband wife couple, who are experienced in the art of re-thinking, re-designing, and renovating start-ups in just a mere span — and in this show, it is only five days. They hold expertise in retail design as well as construction and use this know-how to revamp spaces that had been languishing in the market to date — until now. They are creative enough to handle any project, whether it is installing a bar in a book shop or inserting a restaurant inside a hotel bedroom, they know it all.
What is Five Day Biz Fix about?
As evident from the title, CNBC’s ‘Five Day Biz Fix’ follows married couple, the Kopplins, who own KCC Design + Build and travel around the city to help overhaul small-scale businesses with just one goal — to aid them in increasing profits. In each episode, the construction and design experts ask for a time frame of just five days to complete the job. This is a requirement because the clients who approach them cannot close their business for a longer duration.
However, completing these tasks is not an easy feat. Erik and Chrissy first start by pinpointing loopholes in the existing structure and looking for areas of improvement. After intense research, they have only five days to ensure that the “new structure of the brick and mortar drives more profits.”
Some of the projects tackled by the duo involve a hair salon in Manhattan, an independent bookstore in Brooklyn, as well as a bowling alley in New Jersey. In all these ventures, Erik and Chrissy have to recognize ways to generate income and demonstrate immediate, tangible results.
