‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ is slated to premiere on Monday, November 23, 2020, on The CW at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It releases one episode everyday hereafter on the network at the same time slot and wraps up with its fourth episode on November 26, 2020. The series will additionally be available for free streaming on the ad-supported CW app and for 30 days after its tv premiere. ‘A Year in the Life’s release marks the 20th anniversary of the original series, which had dropped on The WB in 2000.

‘A Year in the Life’ marks the return of almost all the fan-favorite stars from the original ‘Gilmore Girls’. We have Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as the dynamic mother-daughter team of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore respectively. In the follow-up, Lorelai is living with Luke (Scott Patterson), but the two are not married at the beginning of the series. ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life’ sees Rory as a freelance journalist who gives up her own house and decides to stay at her friends’ homes in New York, Stars Hollow, and London. In London, Rory stays with Logan and writes a book for Naomi Shropshire. Although Rory and Logan are in a no-strings-attached relationship, she faces a roadblock when she loses her job and Logan’s fiancee moves in. This is when Jess encourages Rory to pen a book about her own mom and life.

Emily, who is still coping up with the death of Richard, somehow, manages to coerce Lorelai to join her therapy sessions. Meanwhile, a confused Lorelai is dealing with her career issues and relationship with Luke. Lorelai gets into a fight with Rory regarding her daughter’s book idea and storms off to Patty’s Dance Studio, which is hosting ‘Stars Hollow: The Musical’. She later decides to go on a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail, inspired by the movie ‘Wild’.
