Good Witch Season 7 Episode 9 Recap
In episode 9, titled ‘The Search,’ Joy has a dream about the sisters as kids receiving necklaces to fend off the red halo moon. One of them had given it to Abigail when she eloped with a boy without their mother’s knowledge. After waking up, she leads Cassie and Abby to a secret room in the inn where the mystery of the moon could be unlocked. Despite his ongoing struggle in maintaining his relationship with Cassie, Sam assembles the group inside the house. They begin to start looking for clues.
Joy tells Martha about her suspicions regarding Tom, who seems to be guarding a secret. Stephanie fights with her feelings for Adam, unsure of what to do. Elsewhere, Donovan is shocked upon learning that his parents have been separated for two months, but he distracts himself by being there for the sisters. The last person to step into the inn is Trish, who is a bit disoriented after Joy confesses she is a witch. As the group continues their search, Donovan accidentally finds a clue that reveals a book, possibly connected to the amulet. Sam helps Trish come to terms with Joy’s real identity.
Cassie stumbles upon a journal revealing that the amulet has been destroyed, which compels her to give up all hope. Moments later, her mother’s ghost shows up like a beacon in the hour of need and comforts her. Sure enough, Joy finds an orb in the fireplace after listening to a recording left behind by her great-grandmother. Sam and Cassie reconcile while Abby convinces Donovan to run away with her. It comes to Joy’s attention that the amulet has always been in the hope chest but is it too late now that the witches have fallen sick? The burning question will be answered in the series finale.
