Gossip Girl Episode 4 Recap

‘Gossip Girl’ episode 4, titled ‘Fire Walks with Z,’ opens with Zoya’s lack of enthusiasm in celebrating her birthday because her mother died while giving birth to her. Gossip Girl makes a post about Zoya’s birthday, and at school, Obie makes a grand romantic gesture to celebrate it. Meanwhile, Kate has been struggling to keep up with the pressure of being Gossip Girl and allows the other teachers to take over so she can focus on a submission for a magazine.

Luna tricks Zoya into thinking that Julien revealed her birthday to Gossip Girl. Simultaneously, Luna also manipulates Julien into believing that Zoya must go away for good. This prompts Julien to organize a party the same evening. Zoya thinks Julien is attacking her and talks to Kate. Her advice leads Zoya to plan a retaliation. Zoya gets the help of Milo Sparks (son of Georgina Sparks from the original series) in doing so.

Before the party, Zoya and Julien’s dads realize that the girls are fighting and force them to hold a joint party so they can make up. At the party, Aki and Audrey speak clearly about the differences between them caused by their mutual cheating. Aki accepts that he hasn’t explored his sexuality, and Audrey promises to help him. Elsewhere, Max has been acting out because of his dads’ marriage falling apart, and Rafa advises him to get his act together.

Back at the party, Julien shares a disturbing video of an incident from Zoya’s hometown, because of which she was kicked out of her old school. Realizing that the incident was traumatic for Zoya, Julien accepts that she is a bully and makes up with her sister. In the end, Max and Rafa hook up, Kate finishes her submission, and Zoya and Julien bond with each other.
