Haikyuu!! Season 4 Episode 7 Spoilers: What to Expect?

In episode 6, after their camps, Kageyama and Hinata return to their team to practice for the nationals. Kageyama keeps reminding Hinata that he can jump higher. After their first day of practice, Kageyama asks Hinata to stay back and helps him improve his spiking skills. While they’re at it, the other boys keep an eye on them from the windows of their training gym. Hinata also proves it to his teammates that even after being a ball boy at his camp, he did learn a lot by observing other players.

The next day, the team is introduced to another school named Date Live which is known for having a pretty strong volleyball team. Turns out that Date Live has been working really hard on its defense lately, so in order to face the defense of other teams at the nationals, boys of Karasuno will have to first find a way around Date Live defense. The match between the two teams begins and the boys of Date Live do not disappoint. By using two to three defenders at once, they create walls of defense and almost no spiker is able to get the ball past them. With this, even Kageyama starts to face a lot of pressure.

In the upcoming episode, the boys of Karasuno will have to learn to find a way against Date Live’s defense. Only then they’ll be able to face the pressure of the teams that they’ll be facing in the Nationals. Since Kageyama is the setter of the team, it comes down to him to position the ball in such a way that the spiker is able to get it past the defense. So he’ll probably be the one to come out with a solution to this flaw in their offense. He’ll probably somehow manage to figure out a flaw in the seemingly perfect defense strategy of the opposing team and then he’ll work around it to make sure that Hinata spikes the ball in the right direction. Karasuno still seems to have a long way to go, but the team is making steady progress and they’ll soon be ready for the Nationals.
