What is Haikyuu! About?

‘Haikyuu’ primarily revolves around a young boy named Shōyō Hinata who falls in love with the sport of volleyball after he watches it on television for the first time. Despite being a little short for the game, he gets inspired by the impeccable game of another short player known as the “Little Giant”. Hinata’s journey in the game gets a very rough start when his team ends up losing its first major match, but with this, Hinata becomes more determined to prove that he has what it takes to be a good volleyball player. He works really hard and ends up getting selected for the Karasuno High School along with the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama.

When the two boys join forces and combine their intelligence and skills, they become a force to be reckoned with. Soon, they leave all of their differences behind and work really hard to take their team to the top. Karasuno High School has now come a long way from where it began and the boys of the volleyball team have now reached the nationals. The upcoming second season of the anime will further portray all the trials and tribulations that they’ll face against the best teams in Japan.
