Higurashi When They Cry Episode 4 Release Date
‘Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU’ episode 4, titled ‘Cotton-Revealing Chapter, Part 1,’ is set to release on July 15, 2021, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and SUN. Studio Passione has developed the anime in collaboration with Funimation. The series retains most of the cast and crew from ‘Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou,’ with Keiichiro Kawaguchi helming the directorial team, Naoki Hayashi leading the writing staff, Akio Watanabe handling the character designs, and Kenji Kawai composing the music. The opening theme track is “Analogy” by Ayane, while the ending theme track is “Missing Promise” by Konomi Suzuki.

Higurashi When They Cry Episode 4 Spoilers
In episode 3, since being injected with H-173 by Satoko, Rena has been rapidly losing her sanity. She thinks that Keiichi saw her burying Rina’s dismembered body parts and continues to stalk him and act erratically around him. Her behavior alarms Keiichi, who speaks to Rika about it. However, the latter implies that he is being paranoid and assures that nothing is wrong with their friend. So, when Rena comes to cook for Keiichi at his mother’s request when he is alone at the house, he lets her in and even hugs her. Watching them from afar, Rika believes that everything will be alright now. Unbeknownst to her, Rena begins stabbing Keiichi once she is inside the house, and Keiichi defends himself by hitting her repeatedly with a box.
The following morning, Rika learns the truth at school. Although Keiichi has survived and is now in a hospital, Rena is dead. Realizing that there is no escape from the village for her in this fragment. Rika kills herself with a knife, not realizing that Satoko was behind all of this. Satoko also kills herself with the same knife and follows Rika to the next fragment. In episode 4, a new chapter of the story will likely begin. Satoko and Rika might arrive in a new fragment and meet the new versions of their old friends.
