Home Before Dark Season 2 Episode 6 Spoilers

Episode 6 is titled ‘What’s Out There,’ and it seems quite likely that the title refers to the question on everyone’s mind after listening to the recordings on the crashed airplane’s black box. Sam’s father Hank, in an attempt to take a picture of whatever he saw whilst flying, fatally crashed his plane, leaving no clues about what he had seen. This is most likely going to be the central subject of the upcoming episode as Hilde tries to find out exactly what it was that Hank saw and the mysterious owners of the mansion are trying so hard to hide.

The mystery of Richie Fife also seems to have been reopened, and Hilde will most likely try to explore the connection between the kidnapped boy and the dead pilot. Her grandfather, who has proved to be an invaluable resource on multiple occasions, could end up pointing his prolific granddaughter in the right direction. The fact that he worked at Strata Tech, another mysterious company with its roots in Erie Harbor, most likely means that he holds important inside information about the largely opaque corporation.

Lastly, seeing as how the Lisko household is broken into in the episode 5 cliffhanger, there are going to be some definite changes in how careful Hilde must be going forward. The reaction of her parents, if they do find out about the break-in, will be severe and they could either go to the Sheriff or possibly even ban Hilde from going out alone. There are indeed some very ominous overtones expected in the upcoming episode 6.

Home Before Dark Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

Episode 5 finds Hilde and her accomplices Danny and Spoon escaping from the mansion with the black box, which reveals that there is something hidden in the Saratoga Mountains. It is also hinted that Richie Fife, whose kidnapping case Hilde partially solves in season 1, also knows about whatever is hidden in the mountains. However, try as they might, neither Hilde nor the grown-ups are able to figure out what it might be.

In an attempt to track the location of the plane crash, Hilde tries to access the crashed plane again. However, when she gets to the mansion where the plane last was, all signs of it have disappeared. The frustrated young reporter threatens the man who claims to be in charge of the mansion’s security and who is most likely responsible for the plane’s disappearance. What Hilde doesn’t expect is to wake up at night and find her missing backpack (which she knew was taken by the very same man) on the dining table, signifying that the house has been broken into. In the episode’s tense cliffhanger, the young ace reporter turns to see if someone is standing behind her, but it is not revealed what she sees.
