‘Home Before Dark’ season 2 episode 7 will premiere on July 23, 2021, at 3 am ET on Apple TV+. New episodes come out every Friday, with the season finale set to premiere on August 13, 2021. Season 2 of the show contains 10 episodes of approximately 45 minutes each.

Home Before Dark Season 2 Episode 7 Spoilers
Episode 7 is titled ‘Just a Bird’ and might give us a clue as to what the episode holds in store. Hilde’s discovery of the polluted lake and the fact that her father has gone to collect a sample from the toxic barrels littering the island means that they will finally get to test the chemicals polluting their hometown. Despite the dead birds seen in the season’s opening episode being cleared away, Hilde still has one of the sick birds that she’s been treating at home.
She could likely use samples from the bird and the toxic barrels to prove that it is, in fact, the illegal waste on the island that is killing off the town’s birds. More importantly, this could lead to Hilde possibly discovering what is ailing her grandfather, whose memory loss she has long suspected to be connected to the underhanded activities of the mysterious corporation known as Wott Management.
We will also likely get to know more about Sam’s father, who allegedly crashed his plane on the island. Now that the island’s secret is discovered, it will be easier to figure out exactly who would have the strongest motive to hide the toxic barrels of waste. This could lead Hilde to discover who kidnapped Richie Fife— a mystery she has been tracking since season 1. It has been hinted previously that Richie Fife also somehow knew of the illegal activities on the island before he was kidnapped.
Home Before Dark Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
Season 2 episode 6 opens with Hilde preparing to go to the mysterious island where the plane crashed. The plane’s black box was deciphered in the previous episode, leading to the discovery of the island. After some cajoling, her parents agree, and Hilde, along with Matt, Donny, Spoon, and Frank Jr., head for the island. Once there, they discover a long pipeline laid across the island as well as a fortified bunker that houses a laboratory. From the looks of it, the laboratory was hastily abandoned and contains animal remains.
In the episode’s big reveal, we finally see what the island is hiding. The group stumbles upon a cove littered with barrels full of toxic waste. Upon further inspection, it is noticed that the waste is leaking into the surrounding lake that is then poisoning the town’s water. The mystery of the dead birds is also solved as Matt explains to Hilde that they are the only ones that can travel to the island to access the water near the toxic waste, which then kills them.
