‘Home Before Dark’ season 2 episode 8 is scheduled to premiere on July 30, 2021, at 3 am ET on Apple TV+. All-new episodes come out every Friday, with the season finale set to premiere on August 13, 2021. In all, season 2 contains 10 episodes of approximately 45 minutes each.

Home Before Dark Season 2 Episode 8 Spoilers
Episode 8 is titled ‘The Bad Guy’ and once again reinforces how close Hilde’s investigation is getting to the shadowy figures that have so far successfully eluded her. The secrets of Wott Management and Strata Tech Industries are slowly beginning to spill out, and we can expect a strong rebuttal from the powerful enterprises very soon, which is probably what the episode’s title refers to. They are also likely going to react to Hilde’s article, in which she blames Strata Tech for poisoning the town’s water.
We also last see Hilde seething with anger, meaning that she is also on the warpath against the corporations and will attempt to reveal their crimes. Now that Sheriff Trip has tested the water in her father’s house and found it contaminated, we can finally expect her to believe Hilde and take some steps against the powers endangering the citizens of Erie Harbor. Having the town Sheriff on her side is going to be helpful for Hilde, but Trip has her own problems to deal with and will likely have to contend with her loathsome supervisor, who seems to do everything in his power to put her down.
Home Before Dark Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7 opens with Matt and Hilde being summoned to the police station on charges of trespassing on private property after their investigation of the mysterious island. Hilde’s friends Donny and Spoon blame the young reporter for getting them into trouble because of her investigation and tell her that they want no part of it anymore. However, Hilde continues to spread the message that the town’s water is contaminated and even begins to hand out water testing kits.
Sheriff Trip finally decides to test the water in her father’s house and is horrified to see that it is contaminated. At the same time, Matt receives confirmation that the toxic barrels on the island are leaking cadmium into the water, which most likely caused his father Sylvester’s dementia. Through experimental therapy, they are able to help Sylvester recollect his younger days, and what he tells them leaves Matt and Hilde shocked. Hilde’s grandfather reveals that whilst working for Strata Tech, he was exposed to chemicals that gave him chronic headaches, essentially proving that the corporation has a history of poisoning its employees.
