They ultimately decide to summon a hero and send the person instead of the tribute for the empire’s fight against the demons.
Kazuya’s is in a library when the summoning happens. When he learns about why he has been brought to this alternate world, he overcomes his initial surprise and berates the king and his advisors for poor planning. Impressed with Kazuya’s innovative ideas about how to deal with the lagging economy and food shortage, Albert realizes that Kazuya is better suited to run the kingdom and abdicates. Furthermore, he announces that his daughter, Liscia, will marry Kazuya.
The news of Kazuya’s ascension to the throne reaches the three leaders of the military: Sea Serpent Excel Walter, Dragonewt Castor Vargas, and Beastman Georg Carmine.
