How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Episode 3 Spoilers

In episode 2, Kazuya notes that this alternate world is scientifically backward and uses magic and fantastical beasts to negate the shortcomings. He learns that he now has magical powers, which he uses to bring more efficiency to his work. Liscia walks into his office one day to find him buried in his work along with several clerks. He soon ropes her in as well, and they spend the night trying to find money to deal with the country’s economy. The following morning, Kazuya takes Liscia to a cotton field. The cotton used to be Elfrieden’s biggest export. Farming the commercial crop was so lucrative that people stopped growing food and started growing cotton. And when the cotton price crashed, it not only caused an economic disaster in the country but also led to food shortages.

Kazuya reveals that he has an extensive plan to deal with the shortage of food. As Liscia realizes, Kazuya wants her to learn all this because someday he will be gone, and she has to lead the country. Later, Kazuya follows the example set by Cao Cao, the legendary grand chancellor of the Eastern Han dynasty, and calls forth anyone who thinks that they are better at one thing than everyone else to help him save the kingdom. His message is relayed to all of Elfrieden through a magical device called the Gemstone Broadcast. In episode 3, Kazuya might select 5 people from those that answer his call. Elsewhere, trouble might start to brew as some leaders of the military plan a coup.
