Howard Michael Mandel is a comedian, actor, and television host. Hailing from Canada, he was born on November 29, 1955, in Toronto. He started performing as a stand-up comedian when he was in high school.  After he appeared at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, he became popular, which led him to perform a regular gig. Mandel gained National Attention with the show St. Elsewhere. He also made several movie appearances at the time which include “Gremlins,” “Gremlins 2: The New Batch”, “A Fine Mess,” “Walk Like A Man,” and “Maurice to name a few. Mandel is also responsible for creating the animated series “Bobby’s World,” which ran for six years and also won an Emmy nomination.

Mandel worked in different areas ranging from movies to music videos and television shows. In 1995 he appeared in the comedy series “Howie Mandel’s Sunny Skies.” In 1995, apart from appearing in the TV series “The Amazing Live Sea Monkeys,” he was also featured in the music video “Summer’s Comin” by Clint Black.

His reality show Howie Do It first debuted on January 9, 2009, on NBC.
