‘Infinite Dendrogram‘ is yet another addition to the long catalog of gaming anime shows that are set in the world of RPGs. However, it is quite refreshing to see that it is not an Isekai and instead, is decidedly more inclined towards the technical and world-building side of the virtual world it portrays. Overall, it is a pretty average anime so far and offers nothing groundbreaking. You can still check it out if you’re into anime shows that dive deep into game-engine concepts and familiar RPG tropes.

Infinite Dendrogram Episode 5 Release Date: When will it premiere?
Season 1 of ‘Infinite Dendrogram’ premiere on January 9, 2020 and with a total of 13 episodes, it is expected to end by March 2020. So far, the first season has aired 4 episodes and the fifth episode of the season is scheduled for a release on February 6, 2020.

Infinite Dendrogram Spoilers
Reiji Mukudori is the main character of the series, who buys his copy of a renowned MMORPG known as “Infinite Dendrogram.” As soon as he logs in, he is greeted by one of the AIs of the game who asks him to choose an alias. Instead of using his real name, Reiji names his character Ray Starling. Following this, he further delves into the Kingdom of Altar and runs into an NPC named Liliana Grandria, who asks for help in finding her lost sister.
Soon after this, even Ray’s brother, who has been playing the game for quite some time now, joins them on their quest. But before they know it, they are attacked by demi drag worms. Ray’s brother gets dragged underground while fighting the worms and even Liliana is forced to flee from the scene. With this, it comes down to Ray to protect Liliana’s sister, Milliane. After awakening his embryo, Nemesis, Ray is finally able to destroy all the worms and his first quest comes to an end.
Ray, Shu, and Liliana then celebrate Ray’s first successful quest and Shu also familiarizes him with the history of Altar, so that he can become a paladin. While Ray and Nemesis try to level up later, they are ambushed by a player killer, who is easily able to kill Ray and he is then forced to wait for 24 hours before he can log in again. Ray and Nemesis then head to Tomb Labyrinth in the royal cemetery to kill some zombies and become much stronger.
They also end up meeting meet Figaro there, who happens to be one of the strongest players in Altar. He recommends them to visit Gideon as the city allows players to battle without suffering any kind of penalties. Ray and Nemesis then fight throughout the labyrinth and further explore the world of Infinite Dendrogram which brims with surreal visuals and infinite possibilities.
