Since the show has gained a lot of the audiences, especially after its airing on Netflix, it’s quite plausible for another season of ‘Itaewon Class’ season 2 to get a green-light. And if it does get renewed, we expect ‘Itaewon Class’ season 2 to release sometime in 2022.
Itaewon Class Season 2 Cast: Who Can be in it?
‘Itaewon Class’ has some big names in its cast. Park Seo-Joon (‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’), one of the most popular Korean actors right now, plays Park Sae-Ro-Yi, the ex-con, on whom the story revolves around. Apart from him, the main cast includes stars like Kim Da-mi (‘Marionette’) as Jo Yi-Seo, the manager for Park Sae-Ro-Yi’s restaurant, Yoo Jae-Myung (‘Stranger‘) as Jang Dae-Hee, Sae-Ro-Yi’s competition’s CEO, and Kwon Nara (‘Suspicious Partner‘) as Oh Soo-ah, a former friend of Sae-Ro-Yi’s.
Other members of the show are Kim Dong-hee (‘Sky Castle’) as Jang Geun-soo, Ryu Kyung-soo (‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo’) as Choi Seung-Kwon, Kim Hye-Eun (‘Secret Affair’) as Kang Min-jung, and Kim Yeo-Jin as Jo Jeong-min. A lot of new faces like Lee Joo-young as Ma Hyeon-Yi, Chris Lyon as Kim To-ni, Ahn Bo-Hyun as Jang Geun-won, Yoo Da-mi as Kim Sun-ae, Lee David as Lee Ho-jin, Yoon Kyung-ho as Oh Byeong-Heon can also be seen in the series.
But the most interesting cast member of the series right now is Park Bo-Gum. He only made a cameo in the last episode of the season, but due to the nature of his interaction with Oh Soo-Ah, fans are now demanding a continuation of the series.
We expect to see most of the above cast members making a return if the show does get renewed for season 2.
Itaewon Class Season 2 Plot: What Can it be about?
‘Itaewon Class’ follows the story of Park Sae-Ro-Yi, whose life took a turn for the worst after he got expelled from school for punching a bully and his father dying in an accident caused by Geun-won. Angered by grief, Sae Ro-Yi had attacked Geun-won, which led to him being imprisoned for three years. Now that he has his freedom back, all Sae-Ro-Yi wants to do is follow his father’s footsteps and open a pub franchise called DanBam, starting in Itaewon and turn it into the biggest food company in Korea so that he can seek revenge from his rivals.
If the speculations are true, and ‘Itaewon Class’ gets renewed, the plot-line of season 2 could very well revolve around the romance between Oh Soo-Ah and Park Bo-Gum’s characters.
