Kipo And The Age of Wonderbeasts Season 2 Plot: What Can it be About?

Set 200 years into the future in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, ‘Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts’ follows a 13-year-old teenager Kipo who lives underground with her Dad. A flood-like thing washes her away and she ends up in a burrow on Surface land, all alone with a guitar. The Burrow is destroyed by a giant bird and much to Kipo’s surprise, she finds out that the whole Surface land is filled with massive and huge birds, animals, reptiles, and vegetation. Basically, everything other than humans, metamorphoses into a giant version of themselves.

And oh, don’t go by their looks of it, these adorable looking creatures wish to achieve domination over the human race, led by the monster Scarlemagne. Kipo makes a few friends along the way, who help her fight these mutes (mutants) to reconcile Kipo and her father. The makers describe the show as “Madmax for kids” for the exhilarating adventure ride. Also, the minute detailing on the characters and the wasteland elevates the show to another level. Radford brings the show to life by creating a canvas that depicts a quirky and extraordinary color palette, the anime-Esque texture, and the meticulous expressions of the characters.

Season 2 will pick up from the finale of season 1 where things are not good on the surface. According to Netflix: “With the burrow people under Scarlemagne’s mind control and her father his prisoner, Kipo must quickly learn to master her newly-discovered mute abilities in order to save them. As she and her friends split up on a dangerous rescue mission, Kipo’s journey of self-discovery unearths mysteries of the past that change everything she thought she knew.”
