‘Kyokou Suiri’ leaves you with a bittersweet feeling. Its characters are three dimensional and all of them have meticulously developed through the conversations that they have in each episode. However, this itself is somewhat of a flaw. At times, it feels like the anime is just wasting too much time explaining things instead of actually showing us things.
Nonetheless, ‘Kyokou Suiri’ is pretty good and keeps you entertained throughout. With only one more episode to go, I’m sure that you can’t help but wonder what it holds for us. Kyokou Suiri Episode 11 Recap
In the penultimate episode of the first season of ‘Kyokou Suiri’, Kotoko finally reveals what she had in mind when she first starting spreading all those fake rumors about Nanase’s death online. All this while, she was not just sticking to one story but was introducing the audience of the forum to many different possible theories. And as bizarre as some of her theories might seem, she was still able to come up with some sort of explanation for all of it. This also goes way back to the first few episodes of this season in which Kotoko met the mountain serpent. In those initial episodes, it was established that Kotoko not only has strong deductive abilities but is also a really good liar.
Meanwhile, as usual, Kuro battles Nanase outside and his sister tries her best to alter the future. There are moments when Kuro intentionally kills himself just to alter the future from his side. In the end, it turns out that Kotoko was spreading so many fake rumors just to get her audience involved in everything that she has planned. After having intense discussions with her, the people of the forum get so involved in Kotoko’s ideas that they actually start forgetting what they knew about Nanase. Many of them even start making up their own theories and dismiss the fact that Nanase is actually a ghost. With this, the previously established ghastly image of Nanase is completely shattered and even the real Nanase begins to get really weak.
Kotoko has already landed her final blow and soon enough, even Kuro will be able to completely defeat Nanase but it is a possibility that Kuro’s sister still has another trick up her sleeve. All this while she was only depending on her ability to alter the future, so maybe she can use the same to directly create an impact on Kuro, Kotoko, and Saki. Well, to know more about that, we’ll just have to wait for the final episode.
