Kyokou Suiri Episode 6 Recap

In the 6th episode of ‘Kyokou Suiri’, the three main characters, Saki, Kuro and Kotoko further delve into the details of Nanase’s death. Kotoko explains that Nanase is nothing but a “ghost of everyone’s imagination.” The rumors and urban myths surrounding her death have led to her creation and in order to divert people from all of these notions, they’ll have to first find out the truth behind her death and then reveal it to the world. Convinced that she’s only trying to help her solve the case, Saki reveals all the details of Nanase’s death to Kotoko and even tells her all the possible deductions that the police have made.

Then they head to the construction site where she died and Kotoko calls out all the Yokai who could have possibly witnessed the event. The ghost of a dead construction worker shows up and claims that he was right there when the steel beams fell on Saki. He recalls the events and tells them that Nanase was all by herself when it happened. She was smoking a cigarette and looked very depressed, and that’s when the beams fell on her. For them, this witness seems concrete enough to conclude that the steel beams accidentally fell on Nanase and since she was already sick of her life, she didn’t bother moving.

Later, as they go back home, Kotoko begins to wonder if Kuro will ever be truly into her. He always seems to be a bit too distant when it comes to expressing himself and she begins to fear that he might eventually leave her. Then they talk about Nanase for a while and head to the hotel where they’ll be staying for the night. In the closing scene of the episode, a cop gets killed by Nanase’s ghost and the rumors around her existence go even more viral on her website. Meanwhile, a woman keeps a close eye on the website and seems to be running it. Could this woman be Nanase’s sister who plotted her murder?
