Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan Episode 3 Spoilers

In episode 2, Uramachi continues to be stuck in his seemingly dead-end job and feels that his energy is being sucked out. That night he has a nightmare about bird-shaped aliens invading Earth on bread-shaped ships. He wakes up the following day, cursing the fact that morning has come. Although he briefly feels optimistic on his way to work, those feelings vanish when he puts on his work clothes. During a segment involving letters from the viewers, one young girl asks Utano, one of Uramichi’s fellow cast members, who she would choose between Uramichi and Iketeru, another cast member, for marriage. This prompts Utano to go on a long tirade about how the young girl must not pick a guy based on their looks.

The director has ordered the creations of hand puppets from Uramichi’s drawing. They look exactly like the aliens of his nightmare, much to his dismay. During a segment, Tobikichi Usahara, who plays rabbit in the show, teases Uramichi by asking if he enjoys life and whether he has any other hobby besides weight training.

Although agitated, Uramichi keeps the segment going, telling Tobikichi that people who reply to these questions with generic answers are often revealed to have no hobbies at all. On Sunday, Tobikichi comes to Uramichi’s home with food and beverage and ends up getting injured after bumping his toes into a dumbbell. In episode 3, Tobikichi might have some rent issues and ask Iketeru for help. The cast might be given insect costumes to wear and told to teach the children paper crafting.
