On September 11, 1977, Ludacris was born as Christopher Brian Bridges to Roberta Shields and Wayne Brian Bridges Champaign, Illinois. He is known as an American rapper and actor and founder of record label Disturbing the Peace. He attended Emerson Middle School in Oak Park after moving to Chicago Area. He graduated from Banneker High School in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 1995 and studied music management at Georgia State University from 1998 to 1999. He joined an amateur rap group three years later, after writing his first rap song at the age of 9.

Before serving as a DJ under the name “Chris Lova Lova”, Ludacris worked as an intern at Atlanta’s Hot 107.9(then Hot 97.5). His next album Chicken-n-Beer featured guests like Snoop Dogg, Lil’ Flip, I-20, Lil Fate, and Shawnna, but could not do very well. Again in the same year, Ludacris came up with his next single, “Stand Up” produced by Kayne West. Hitting the top spot on Billboard Hot 100, this single became perhaps one of Ludacris’ biggest mainstream hits.

This single even gathered some controversy involving violation of Copyrights but in the year 2006, a jury cleared it of any violations of copyrights. It happened only once that he produced two consecutive top 10 singles from a solo album, “Splash Waterfalls” being second after “Stand up”.

Ludacris then went on to release multiple singles and albums including “The Red Light Distric”, “Get Back”, “Release Therapy”, The Preview”, “One More Drink”, mixtapes “#IDGAF” and many other singles. He won multiple awards including Grammy Awards. Ludacris along with his record studio DTP, an imprint distributed by Def Jam Records, is involved in many other ventures. He is a co-owner of Conjuring Cognac and he also owns brand of headphones by the name “Soul By Ludacris” manufactured by Soul Electronics. He featured in many films and documentaries including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Ball Don’t Lie, Gamer, Fast Five and many more.
