How did Manny Pacquiao earn his money and wealth?
Manny Pacquiao is a professional boxer hailing from the Philippines who is also a popular political figure in his country now and serves as a Filipino Senator. His real name is Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao and he was born on the 17th of December in 1978 in Kibawe, Bukidnon of Philippines to Rosalio Pacquiao and Dionisia Dapidran-Pacquiao. After completing his elementary education at Saavedra Saway Elementary School in General Santos City, Pacquiao had to give up studies due to the extreme poverty that his family had to face. It was later in 2007 that Pacquiao could pursue his further education earning a degree in business management at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University of Philippines.
His glory was brought about through his boxing career. He started boxing at the tender age of 14 and to his credit, he holds the record of being the only eight-division world champion in the history of the sport with eleven major world titles and lineal championship in five different weight classes. He’s currently reining at 4th spot in BoxRec’s list of the greatest pound for pound boxers of all time. As per BoxRec, he also is the greatest Asian fighter of all time. In the year 2015, Forbe’s listed Pacquiao as the second highest paid athlete in the world generating an approximate of 19.2 million in pay-per-view buys and $1.2 billion in revenue from his 23 PPV bouts.
Besides boxing, Pacquiao has established him on the basketball court as well. He owns a team in the PBA Developmental League that debuted in the league’s 2014–15 season. He was chosen to be the 11th overall in the first round of the 2014 PBA draft by the Kia basketball team thus making him the oldest rookie to be assigned to the Philippine Basketball Association.

However, it was in the year 2010 that he won the elections from Sarangani province thus being the congressman of the lone district of Sarangani. In the 2013 elections, he ran unopposed for his second term as congressman. In 2016, he ran for United Nationalist Alliance and took on the Senate as one of the 12 members.
