Marlon Lamont Wayans is an actor who is also a screenwriter, model, comedian, and film producer. He was born in New York City on July 23, 1972 and is a part of the well known Wayans comedy family. He was the youngest amongst ten siblings. After he finished his schooling, he graduated from Howard University in Washington D.C. Wayans began his film career by appearing as a pedestrian in “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka” (1998) and appeared in “In Living Color” along with his siblings from 1992 to 1993. He co-starred with his brother, Shawn Wayans in “The Wayans Bros” from 1995 to 1999.

Wayans and his brother Shawn co-wrote and co-starred in the “Scary Movies” (2000) series and “White Chicks” which Wayans produced himself. He won “Comedy Award Outstanding Writing for a Box Office Movie” at the 2004 BET. Wayans has also produced “Thugaboo” (2006), a Nickelodeon cartoon series. He has also acted in “Requiem for a Dream” (2000) which was his first tryst with drama and very unlike the comedy movies he usually acted in. He has appeared as Snails in “Dungeons and Dragons” (2000). He was also one of the cast members of “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” (2009) and followed it up with “A Haunted House” in 2013 and “The Heat. A Haunted House 2” in 2014. He has also appeared in “Naked” (2014), a film by Netflix. He started his own sitcom “Marlon” in 2017 along with NBC and its second season starts in 2018.

Wayans and his brother Shawn hosted the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. They also traveled in the US with “The Wayans Brothers Tours” in 2014 along with their other famous siblings Nadia, Keenen Ivory, Damon Sr., Dwayne and Kim. Wayans created an online destination for urban comedy called “What the Funny” which he partnered with Randy Adams. They have partnered it with rapper Trae the Truth and YouTube star Todrick Hall. He has also created “Funniest Wins”, a comedy competition on television in 2014.

Wayan starred in “Fifty Shades of Black” (2016), a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey. He wrote it as well as produced it. Wayan has two children from his former long-term relationship with Angelina Zachary.
