Married at First Sight Season 10 Episode 1 Recap:
In the premiere episode, the first couple we get to meet is Brandon and Taylor, with the former displaying a bit of a negative reaction when he describes his future partner to his family. Mindy shares her excitement with her elder sister who is skeptical of the wedding with Zach but still supports her younger sibling. Mindy’s parents are not that positive about the whole arrangement and we also learn that she has had her share of misfortunes like losing one of her sisters to drug overdose and going through a miscarriage herself.
Katie, a child therapist, is paired with Derek, and she receives the full support of her parents and step-parents. But things become a bit complicated when a former lover turns up and tries to change her decision. Next, we meet Austin who is extremely attached to his mother — a woman that is highly suspicious of the marriage. We are yet to discover how this bond affects Jessica. On the other hand, we learn that Jessica is really close to her twin, who is also not so supportive of her sister’s decision. Finally, Michael shares the news with his sister, who is so happy that her eyes fill up with tears.
Apart from the couple introductions, we also follow the individuals as they go for shopping. Jessica buys a gown chosen by her sis while Austin wishes his future wife would help him in picking the right tux. Mindy misses her mom, Zach’s friends help him out, Katie is accompanied by her mother, and Derek thinks himself to be James Bond.
We also see the men and women during the night before the wedding as they socialize and get to know one another.
