Mars Red Episode 13 Spoilers

In episode 12, Rufus leads the special unit as they rampage through the city. Ayame, the oldest amongst the three children that Shuutarou rescued, is revealed to be an informant for Rufus. He burns down Tenmaya’s safehouse, but fortunately for the vampires taking shelter there, Tenmaya and Takeuchi already figured out Rufus’ plan and moved the people from there. Rufus accepts an offer to take special forces unit to America. However, he sees Deflot performing at a gathering and panics. All his sense of superiority and arrogance suddenly come undone. His insignificance is even more enunciated when Shuutarou mistakes him for a civilian before the former’s fight with Maeda.

Deflot eventually kills Rufus by controlling his mind and forcing him to fall into the ocean and drowning. Suwa meets Ayame, and instead of killing her for the betrayal, he accompanies her to the new world. Episode 13 will likely show whether Aoi and Shuutarou’s story will end in tragedy, just like Maeda and Misaki’s had, or they will get a chance to find a happy ending for themselves.
