How did Mayim Bialik earn her money and wealth?
Born as Mayim Chaya Bialik on the 12th of December in 1975 to Barry and Beverly in San Diego in California, Mayim Bialik is an American actress and neuroscientist. She attended Walter Reed Junior High School and North Hollywood High School in California before earning her Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience at UCLA. Bialik further went in pursuit of a doctorate in neuroscience. She came out of UCLA with her Ph.D. in neuroscience in the year 2007 with her dissertation being an investigation on hypothalamic activity in patients with Prader-Willi syndrome. Meanwhile, Bialik also steered into the field of acting.
Though Mayim was concentrating on her studies, she was introduced to the world of acting at a very young age. In the year 1988 at her age of 13, Bialik was seen playing a role in the horror film Pumpkinhead. She also made guest appearances on The Facts of Life and Beauty and the Beast for which she earned her Screen Actors Guild card. Soon after, she was portraying the recurring role of Frieda, the classmate of the lead in about 8 episodes of the comedy Webster. She also made an appearance in three episodes of MacGyver. Her big screen debut was with the 1988 movie Beaches wherein she portrayed the young version of Bette Midler’s character. Bialik was also noticed in the video song “Liberian Girl” by Michael Jackson. In 1990 by the age of 15, she started getting more roles on television. She was seen on the show Molloy that aired on Fox and Blossom that aired on NBC. Blossom can be termed as the big break in Bialik’s career as she gained much popularity as the title character. It went on for 5 seasons until coming to an end in the May of 1995.
In 1994, yet another big project of Bialik was released. She played the role of Susan Hollander in the Woody Allen comedy film Don’t Drink the Water. Following that, for a period of ten years from 1995 to 2005, Bialik played roles behind the camera by doing the voice-over for cartoons like The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Disney’s Recess and Kim Possible, Cartoon Network’s Johnny Bravo, and Nickelodeon’s Hey Arnold!.
In 2005, she appeared in the feature film Kalamazoo?. Thereafter her major work was in The Big Bang Theory as Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler from the show’s third season finale onwards. Her portrayal of Amy Farrah Flower earned her Emmy nominations in 4 consecutive years in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
