How did Migos earn his money and wealth?
Migos is a hip-hop group that originated in Georgia and consists of three rappers Takeoff, Offset and Quavo who are all related. The group was established in the year 2009 with the initial name Polo Club but later the name was changed to Migos officially in the year 2010. The trio released a mixtape titled ‘No Label’ in the year 2012 which caught the attention of manager Kevin Lee and producer Zaytoven who helped build the music careers of Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane. The two soon began working for Migos.
In the year 2013, Migos released its mixtape ‘Young Rich N*ggas’ which consisted of the hit single ‘Versace’. The same year, the trio were called on the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash, a famous Australian festival, where they met Drake who loved their work. Drake decided to add a verse to the remix version of ‘Versace’ and put it in his 2013 music album titled ‘Nothing Was the Same.’
The group launched their next mixtape titled ‘No Label II’ in the year 2014 which featured the hit single titled ‘Fight Night’. The mixtape was released by the renowned label Atlantic. Later, the trio released their very first debut album in 2015 titled ‘Yung Rich Nation’ that featured the song ‘One Time.’ The same year, Migos released a mixtape titled ‘Back to the Bando’ which featured the hit single ‘Look at My Dab’. The song became very famous by the year 2016 as it consisted of the viral dance move called dabbing trend which left even the politicians dabbing besides the musicians and athletes.
The group later released a mixtape titled ‘3 Way EP’ in 2016 summer time. At the end of 2016, Migos collaborated with American rapper Lil Uzi Vert and released ‘Bad & Boujee’ which became a hit and entered the Billboard Hot 100 and ranked at number 1 position at the beginning of the year 2017. Around the same time, the group released their album titled ‘Culture’ which secured number 1 position in the Billboard 200. Migos featured in a Katty Perry song titled ‘Bon Appetit’ from her album ‘Witness’ in April 2017.
In 2018, Migos released a follow-up of the album and released ‘Culture II’ which contains 24 tracks, featuring productions from Dun Deal, Pharrell Williams, Murda Beatz, Kanye West, Travis Scott, Metro Boomin among others and also featured a few popular music artists as guests such as Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. The RIAA certified the album as platinum in May 2018.
