Mountain Men Season 10 Episode 9 Recap

The ninth episode of ‘Mountain Men’ season 10 is titled ‘Winter’s Fury.’ In the penultimate episode, Tom Oar set up a trading post in the heart of Yaak Valley as a part of the winter “rendezvous.” A rendezvous is a trade fair for mountain men like Tom and other artisans to sell and buy handmade crafts born out of the woods. They couldn’t attend the one last year because of the COVID-pandemic, which wasted many money-making opportunities as such. However, this time, Tom and his wife Nancy are dedicated to making it happen.

The duo spread out most of their winter valuables, which all are products of strenuous craftsmanship. One of their best pieces to date is the buffalo hide coat that took 10 days to tan and more than 17 hours to stitch. The coat alone could be worth more than a thousand dollars in the market. Moving on, Will took the couple to a beautiful cottage that looked well insulated from the outside. The interior, however, needed work, and Tom wasted no time in blocking the weaker sections with an acrylic compound to trap heat. When it was all done, he nailed a board that said “Willow Bend Trading Post.”

Elsewhere, Josh went through hell to protect his bison from the danger of being snatched by predators. The weather also gradually worsened, and the tough mountaineer was then exposed to a mighty blizzard. Kidd and Harry saved a stranded pack mule from being devoured by a strong river current. Jake tackled a mountain lion attack at a local ranch while Tom, hard at work in an old cabin, was approached by a bear out of nowhere
