The Mysterious Benedict Society Episode 7 Recap

The seventh episode kicks off with Kate entering the farm late at night using the access key that she recently acquired. She tries her best to evade two messengers on patrol duty, but these “night-walkers” sense an intruder’s presence and notify Mr. Curtain about it. Elsewhere, Mr. Benedict cannot spot Milligan’s vehicle in the sea, which causes him to believe he is dead, but Number Two and Rhonda are hoping for the best. Reynie and Constance are further mad at Sticky for his indifference towards the matter. Mr. Curtain now has his eyes on Reynie, and his blood boils when SQ reveals that he took Reynie to the forest.

In the meantime, Kate is struggling to escape the borders of the facility when Milligan shows up to save her and tells her that the mission has been called off. Back in the institute, Ms. Perumal offers to help Mr. Benedict stop his twin brother and sends the Phoenix bird to deliver a letter to Reynie, but because of Milligan, the kids are unaware of Mr. Benedict’s decision to now resume the mission. One of Mr. Curtain’s pawns reveals that it was a girl that entered the facility, which is all that it takes to pull Martina into the mess since it was her card that was used. SQ chances upon Ms. Perumal’s letter for Reynie that riles him up because, in his eyes, his father has nothing to do with the Emergency.

Reynie, however, apologizes to him as he struggles to accept his father’s reality. He then hands over the letter to Reynie. At the shore of the facility, two messengers spot Mr. Benedict’s Stonehouse through their binoculars and are shocked to see a man who looks like Mr. Curtain, who then sends all his men to the spot. By the time they reach, Mr. Benedict has already left. Kate provides Martina with necessary aid before she gets punished, but the latter sees Kate’s keychain just outside the vent opening, and the truth suddenly hits her like a storm.
