NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 Episode 19 Recap:

In episode 19, which is called ‘Fortune Favors the Brave’, we meet a man, carrying a metal detector, who comes across a severed hand on the beach. Meanwhile, FBI Agent Roundtree is seen filling in for Callen and Anna as the duo is on vacation. Fatima introduces Roundtree to the staff while giving him a tour of the office.

Coming back to the hand, it is revealed that it belongs to an Iranian exile called David Larian. Deeks and Roundtree investigate the case and finally, trace Larian’s car. As they are looking inside the vehicle, Roundtree, by mistake, ends up activating a bomb in the glovebox. Sam suggests that they should freeze the bomb with liquid nitrogen in order to slow its progress. He assembles a pulley, ties a rope around him and Roundtree and then jumps off — just before the bomb explodes.

After all of them return to the precinct unscathed, Roundtree questions Dr. Shahmir Gilani while Fatima interrogates Roxie. However, they are unsuccessful in getting any further details. Deeks decides to follow Roxie but there’s another car tracking her as well. Two guys attempt to capture her but Deeks is able to outdo both and he rescues Roxie.

This is where he uncovers a clip that shows the torture and subsequent murder of David. The team then traces the house where the men had resided and discover that it is the home of a bombmaker. They also find out that the house is boobytrapped. While Sam is able to kill the bomb creator, he is finally successful in snatching his switch. Ultimately, the crew is able to complete the mission without any serious tragedy.
